In /Library/LaunchDaemons as root, create a file named whatever you like with your favorite editor, but end it with. plist file to set the resolution I want at boot. I did some searching on Launch Scripts (had done a few before) and came up with a simple Launch Daemon. In my particular application, if there is a slight performance hit, it won't matter. it might have a performance consequence, I don't know. Running that command every time you reboot is obviously not optimal, although. Just yesterday, I copied the script from my Fusion 8.1 vmware tools folder to one of my ESXi 6 OSX guests. Mark, I was just hunting for the same solution. I know our customers will greatly appreciate this workaround! Lastly, I would like to give a big thanks to Michael Udaltsov, the Engineer who is responsible for creating the workaround and providing me with some additional context to this change in behavior. For example, if I want a 2880x1800 display resolution, I would add the following: In this case, you would need to also add the following two advanced settings to the VM which can be done using the vSphere Web/C# Client or the vSphere API. One other thing to note is if you plan on using higher display resolution than 2560x1600, you may need to configure some additional VM Advanced Settings due to use of framebuffers that are larger than 16MB. Below is a screenshot of a Mac OS X 10.11 (El Capitan) running on vSphere 6.0 Update 1 configured with a 1920x1080 resolution. If we take a look at our Mac OS X VM, we should now see that our new custom display has taken effect. If output does not match, it most likely means you need to increase the video memory and you can refer to this VMware KB 1003 for more details. If everything was successful, you should see that both the "Requested resolution" and the "Effective resolution" match in the output. In the example above, I have 16MB configured for my Mac OS X VM which would give you a max resolution of 2560x1600. Note: Ensure you have sufficient video memory configured for your VM for larger display resolutions. For example, to set a 1920x1080 resolution, you would run the following command: Make sure to use "sudo" if you want the display resolution to persist through a system reboot. The syntax for the vmware-resolutionSet utility is pretty straight forward, it accepts a width and height argument. One thing to note is that there is a known issue right now for VMware Fusion 8.1 related to NAT and port forwarding, you may want to hold off on upgrading if you rely on this feature. You can find it under '/Library/Application Support/VMware Tools'. UPDATE (12/11/15)- Thanks to reader it looks like the latest VMware Fusion 8.1 release now includes an updated version of VMware Tools (10.0.5) which includes the vmware-resolutionSet utility. Although this tool has not been officially released and must go through the standard release process, the plan is to include it in a future update of VMware Tools and will available for use with both VMware Fusion and vSphere. You will need to ensure you have VMware Tools installed and running before you can use this utility. As of right now, customers can get a hold of this utility by filing an SR with VMware Support and referencing PR 1385761. The workaround that has been developed is a tiny standalone command-line utility called vmware-resolutionSet which runs within the Mac OS X Guest and allows you to configure a custom display resolution. Given this is a non-trivial fix, VMware Engineering has been working hard on a providing a workaround which would still allow users to set a custom resolution from within the GuestOS. The reason for this behavior is that Apple has changed the way in which it remembers previously used modes and would automatically fall back to this versus retaining the custom mode using the Display Preferences. For customers who are running Mac OS X 10.9 (Mavericks) or newer in a Virtual Machine, you may have noticed that you can no longer set a custom display resolution beyond the default 1024x768 in either VMware Fusion and vSphere, regardless of the amount of video memory that has been allocated.

In 1987, he collaborated with Mickey Hart of the Grateful Dead for the album The Light of the Spirit (which sold two million copies) and in 1992 with Jon Anderson ( Yes) for the album Dream. On his music he noted that his outlook on life, study of philosophy, and responsibility to create music which has a good influence on society, influence his musical creation. I'm just going to keep calling it Kitaro's music". While he's not comfortable with the term, it doesn't mean much to him: "Whether people say my music is new age or not, it's OK with me. Due to his combination of electronic and acoustic sounds, mellow music, and repeating chords which resembled the umbrella New age music category in the United States and Europe, his music was labeled as "new age". This included a re-releasing of six prior albums entitled Ten Kai (aka Astral Voyage), Daichi (aka Full Moon Story), Millennia, India, Silver Cloud and Live in Asia (aka Asia) (each packaged with Japanesque obi strips) as well as a new album, aptly titled Toward the West. He entered into a worldwide distribution arrangement with Geffen Records in 1985–1986. Notably, he was forced to cancel a leg in Singapore because he had long hair and at that time the country had a policy banning it. In 1984, Kitaro embarked on a "Live in Asia" tour. The success created from the program brought Kitaro international attention. The score received a Galaxy Award, and the series of soundtracks sold millions of copies. The music was composed mainly using a Minimoog, Minikorg 700, and Maxikorg DV800. The documentary was narrated by Ishizaka Koji with music composed by Kitaro, who insisted that the show be broadcast in stereo. The intention of the program was to reveal how ancient Japan was influenced by the Silk Road trade route. It took a total of 17 years from conception to complete what many consider a landmark in Japan's broadcasting television history. The Silk Road: The Rise And Fall Of Civilizations is an NHK Tokushu documentary series that first aired on 7 April 1980, with sequels being broadcast over a 10-year period. He performed his first symphonic concert at the "Small Hall" of the Kosei Nenkin Kaikan in Shinjuku, Tokyo. The first two albums Ten Kai and Daichi were released in 19. Solo career: 1977–present īack in Japan, Kitaro started his solo career in 1977. In 1976, Kitaro left Far East Family Band and travelled through Asia (China, Laos, Thailand, India). Schulze produced two albums for the band and gave Kitaro some tips for controlling synthesizers. While in Japan and Europe in 1975, he met the German electronica and former Tangerine Dream member Klaus Schulze. In the early 1970s he changed completely to keyboard and joined the Japanese progressive rock band Far East Family Band and recorded four albums with them. His first synthesizer was analog, and he recalls having "just loved the analog sound that it made compared to today's digital sound". After graduating, and learning to play drums and bass, Kitaro moved to Tokyo to experience and become a part of the music scene, and it was there that he discovered the synthesizer. In high school Kitarō played electric guitar in a band that played American rhythm and blues of Otis Redding and covers by The Beatles. In return, he did not show for the job without telling them, and managed to convince them to work on something he loved. In an effort to maneuver him towards their vision, they made arrangements for him to take a job at a local company. After graduating his parents were first opposed to the idea of their son having a musical career. Kitarō, which is his boyhood name meaning "man of love and joy", a practicing Buddhist himself, was born in a family of Shinto-Buddhist farmers. Masanori Takahashi was born in Toyohashi, Aichi, Japan, and is a graduate of Sahid University. He received a Golden Globe Award for the original score to Heaven & Earth (1993). He won the Grammy Award for Best New Age Album for Thinking of You (1999), with a record 16 nominations in the same category. Kitarō ( 喜多郎), born Masanori Takahashi ( 高橋 正則) (February 4, 1953), is a Japanese recording artist, composer, record producer, and arranger noted for his electronic- instrumental music, and is often associated with and regarded as one of the most prominent musical acts of new-age music. When it comes to capturing the changes in a subject, your camera would focus solely on that subject and take hundreds, if not thousands, of images as it moves or evolves.Ī brilliant example is a sequence that captures a seedling sprouting from the ground and unfurling to form a bud.Īnother example could be the development of a toddler over the course of a year – this requires a single photo taken every day for that year. When played in sequence, the images form fast-paced footage of dramatic changes in the subject or scene that happen over time. Instagram: i nstagram.Time-lapse photography is a process that involves taking multiple images and combining them into a video. Website: Facebook: /StephaneLegrandPhotography/ I create stock footage and commissioned videos. I am a timelapse photographer based in Toronto. A s a big fan of the DJ 20syl, I decided to use it. A few months ago I fell in love with this song. I try to imagine what kind of video sequences I could to the song, and then I start editing following the the music rhythm. When I create a timelapse video I first choose the song. Using these tools I was able to make a unique New York City timelapse. I purchased a great tutorial a few months ago called ‘creative editing’ made by the amazing landscape photographer Beboy (available here) about how to improve your photography with color adjustment.Įven if I did not apply all of his ideas and tips, it really helped to have better understanding of the color correction, and how it can provide a different vibe to a video. The color grading is what brings the ‘cinema look’ to the video by making adjustments in the colors. Not only by adding aerial sequences, but also by color grading. I watched many timelapses of the New York City, and wanted to create something unique. Create a unique experience by making something different However nothing worked until I used a software called Mercalli™ from ProDAD, then stabilized the footage with Adobe After Effects. I was not able to fix this jelly effect, nor the shaky effect, even after I had read tons of articles on the subject. It’s a very common problem while filming with a DSLR Camera because the camera records rapidly scanning across the scene instead of catching the entire framing at one time. The biggest issue that I faced was the rolling shutter. I just imagined that it was simple as taking the camera and press the rec button, but that was not true at all. My New York City aerial experience certainly was exciting!Īs I said earlier, I had no experience with aerial video. There is no way to describe how great the sensation was when I was sat on the floor of the helicopter with my legs dangling above the Empire State Building, while handling my camera. It was an amazing experience I really recommend to anyone having this opportunity to seize it. This was the first helicopter flight of my life. My journey required a train and a taxi. The flight was door opened, and I was tied with a safety harness. All my gear was tied too, even my cell phone. It was worth it though, as walking is the best way to find the ideal spot for shooting. I had to wake up early in the morning to shoot the sunrise, walk up to 18 miles/30km a day with 2 bags (about 44lb/20kg), and then shooting the sunset. I had 2 days that were very bright sun without clouds, and another one with a white cloudy mess above the city. The perfect conditions to create a timelapse are a sunny day with clouds moving in the sky. A week seems like a long time, but in reality it is not nearly enough. Additionally I had to rent a 4K camera, because even if 4K is not the standard, but It will be soon. Therefore, the only solution left was to rent a helicopter. However, after looking at the legislation, I realized flying a drone was forbidden in New York City. I love watching drone footage, and I initially was thinking to film with one. I wanted to create something different than I had in the past. Therefore I decided to do a New York City timelapse. I don’t plan to stay in North America forever, and New York is not that far from Toronto, so I decided to take my chance. It is such an amazing source of inspiration for urban cityscape photography. After making a timelapse of Toronto and one of Paris, both cities that I lived in and really enjoy, I felt there was something missing. Include at least one “planned-over” meal per week to use leftover food from another meal. A dessert, such as fresh fruit, yogurt, or pudding, is optional. Serve milk and another hot or cold beverage. Choose side dishes that go well with the main dish and contain plenty of raw and cooked vegetables, fruits, and whole grains (e.g., bread, pasta, rice, or cereal). The main dish, which is the base around which the rest of the menu is planned, should provide a serving of protein (e.g., lean meat, some beans, or a low-fat dairy product). It should include all daily meals plus snacks, even those eaten away from home.Ī Simple Meal Plan: Here is an example of a simple meal plan or menu writing system to help you get started. When you feel comfortable with that, add in one meal at a time until you work up to a weekly plan. Start with a simple plan that includes your family’s main meal of the day. Check grocery store ads for sale items that you can use in your menus. As you run out of staple food items during the week, add them to the list. Keep a grocery list in the kitchen where you can see it.Plan to use these foods in your menus to save money at the store. Know what foods are in the refrigerator and freezer, cupboards, cabinets, and pantry. Inventory the foods you have on hand and what you need to buy.Next to each meal, write the ingredients that you need to prepare it. Plan for breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, or five to six “mini-meals” per day. Make enough menus for about a two-week cycle. When you try a new recipe that everyone likes, add it to the list. Write a list of the foods your family likes to eat and keep it taped inside the kitchen cabinet. This allows you to buy the right amount of food.
Simon the Sorcerer 1 (CD/DOS/English) > Runs with Audio, no Subs SCUMM finds 4 versions installed with the 25th anniversary edition. I did a 'mass add' on my game files and it found some interesting results seems to work - I also thought of getting the French talkie version, and replacing the Subtitle files with the English version, but this again eluded me. Presale tickets for Capital One card holders brought similar frustration - and then Ticketmaster canceled sales to the general public, citing “extraordinarily high demand” and “insufficient remaining ticket inventory.” In November, “Verified Fans” were sent a presale code - but when sales began, heavy demand snarled the website and millions of Swifties could not get their hands on a ticket. Pre-sale tickets for “The Eras Tour” frustrated Swift fans across the country in a debacle that stayed in the headlines for weeks. “Ticketmaster is a monopoly that is only interested in taking every dollar it can from a captive public,” according to the lawsuit. It also alleges that Ticketmaster profits off the resale of tickets in the secondary market by adding a service fee to its fan-to-fan exchange. The lawsuit also claimed that since Ticketmaster has agreements with the large stadiums in the tour, Swift “has no choice” but to work with Ticketmaster due to the size of her fan base. The Swifties are seeking a penalty of $2,500 for each violation, which could add up, based on the millions of angered fans who did not receive tickets. It claims Ticketmaster forces concertgoers to exclusively use its site and controlled all registration and access to Swift’s “The Eras Tour.” The lawsuit, filed in a California court on Friday, alleges Ticketmaster and its parent company were anti-competitive, imposing higher prices on fans in the presale, sale and resale market.
